FARG
Providing support to survivors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in the areas of education, housing, emergency assistance, healthcare, and income-generating projects.
Note: For a person to receive assistance, they must first be approved by the General Assembly of survivors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi at the village level, in accordance with the laws and regulations governing each support pillar.
- VUP (Vision Umurenge Program)
Providing support to all vulnerable people classified in Ubudehe Category 1:
- A household with no member able to work receives direct support.
- A household with members able to work is provided with paid manual labor opportunities under the Classic Public Works program.
- Households with dependents (such as children under 5 years old or persons with severe disabilities) are provided with lighter public works jobs under the Expanded Public Works (E-Public Works) program.
- Vulnerable people who are able to work and belong to Ubudehe Categories 1 and 2 are given small loans repayable at a low interest rate (2%) over a period of two years.
All beneficiaries are approved by the Sector Council based on the available annual budget and eligibility criteria.
- UBUDEHE
- One community development project is supported with funding.
- One vulnerable person in each village is supported with funding for a small income-generating project.
- GIRINKA
Supporting families in Ubudehe Categories 1 and 2 who are capable of providing pasture and a cowshed to obtain a cow.
Beneficiaries are approved by a committee established from the village level up to the district level.
