Welcome to NGORORERO District

Prime Minister Dr Peter Damien Habumuremyi joined yesterday the population of Ngororero and Nyabihu districts. It was in the context of preventing and dealing with landslides caused by persistent rains that damaged regions at high altitudes. At this  occasion they removed landslides that jamed the asphalt road Ngororero-Mukamira.

After communities work organized for this  reason, the Prime Minister addressed  the population by asking them not to dwell on the sides of mountains and depressions where  they risk their lives. He  requested them to join the sites chosen by local authorities. He also emphasizes the fight against erosions. He has fixed a period of three months since  June to end with erosion.

He recalled that the population must  work hard for the happiness of their families and the country. He said that the working day must be at least 9 hours and drinking establishments must open their doors after work hours  at 17 pm.

The Prime Minister addressed the condolences of the Government to the families affected by the bad weather. He was accompanied by some high authorities of the country including the Minister of Defense Major General James Kabarebe, the Minister of Culture and Sports Mitari Protais and military authorities and the police working in the Western province

Similar activities are planned  on Saturday 19/05/2012 at the national level still.
